https://dorik.io - Single Page Website Builder (Private Beta)

    Thank you. :-)

    1. 2

Hi @mizan! Would you love another beta tester for Dorik.io? ;)
I am using either Versoly or Webflow and I am looking for a better option.
Versoly doesn't have the flexibility that I want and Webflow isn't intuitive enough. Maybe Dorik is the one that I've been looking for. Cheers! :)

      1. 1

        Hi @whosthisisa,

Thank you so much for your comment. I'm really happy that you are interested in trying Dorik. I have sent you an email. I will send you more details soon.

        Thanks,
        Mizan

      • Great design and a beautiful logo.
      • The get early access button is appealing.
      • Your tagline/subheading is clear and concise.
      • The demo video is exactly where I would like it to be.
      • The animations are well done.

      #2

      • Slightly annoying that the elements re-animate every time I scroll them into view.
      • Pre-built templates & components look gorgeous, but why can't I click on them?
      • The pricing table is down very far. The entire page is quite long.
      • The pricing table plan order is kind of messed up. First free, then most expensive, the least expensive could be -> most exp (also best value), then least expensive, then free.
      • The price should be in a bigger font.
      • What does less than $60/year actually mean? Is it $59.99?
      1. 2

Thanks for your detailed feedback. I appreciate it.

        • We were discussing animations. We needed more feedback. I think we will turn off the animation repeat.
        • We are still building the templates and blocks and soon they will be live with a clickable link.
        • We wanted to show the all the features. So the page got quite long. We have reduced some content last after some feedback. We are working on it.
        • We are working on the pricing table. Also, finalizing the pricing. It will be updated soon.

        Thanks again. :-)

Not OP but I checked out your page in another thread. Just thought I'd say great site, solid design and colours I have it bookmarked as landing page inspiration.

      • Gorgeous logo and font
      • Clear call to action (primary) with a second button if the user wants to see more before signing up (secondary)
      • Demo gif/video is quite insightful and well places
      • Call to action with every section is a good idea to increase sign ups
      • Footer looks great: I love the heart in San Diego and let’s connect under the social icons

      #2

      • It’s really hard to fault you here, you’ve done a brilliant job with what you have!
      • Perhaps more testimonials would help sell
      • Used by (companies) section for social proof
      • Is there a reason why you don’t have a pricing table on your LP? I know there is a link in the menu
    2. 1

Love the font and the color scheme. Also like the playground to help users get a feel for what you offer.

    Harsh feedback is much appreciated.

Joey, DarwinMail looks great. I do have one piece of feedback. It took me a while to realize it is a client and not an email provider. Even after clicking around, I couldn't find anything that explicitly stated that. It is implied on the about page, but even then I wasn't 100% sure. It might be helpful to have a sentence explaining what Darwin is from a high level on the homepage. Other than that, looks great!

      • The hero image looks great and conveys a professional brand
      • The Featured On section also instills a sense of professionalism in your brand
      • The menu is clean and so is the logo
      • The footer is very well designed
      • It’s great to see the FAQ’s section as that is often left out on landing pages!

      #2

      • The LP took about 10 seconds loading on first browsing to your website. I had to refresh the page for the hero image to appear
      • I would add a greater height to the hero image so that I cannot see the ‘Households with financial plans…’ until I scroll down

I love real estate tech! Requested access. Even though you're agent-focued, I'm looking for material on my forthcoming blog! NomadLandord.com

      1. 1

Awesome, glad to have you on the list! Saw you're working on a blog, what type of content do you have in mind?

    1. 1

      #1

      • The color scheme is slick and easy on the eye
      • The CTA stands out very well
      • I like that you have the 3 boxes listing the features right below the CTA. It seems to answer the questions I would have otherwise be asking

      #2

      • The LP is a bit simple and it looks somewhat unpolished. I would recommend adding more padding in places. Headings in other places. Subtitles below those headings. A greater separation of sections.
      • Where is the pricing?
      1. 1

        Thanks Joey!

Very helpful feedback. I will definitely look at those UI suggestions.

Pricing is on my Trello board :) I want to onboard a certain number of user for free before bringing in prices. Just don't want to spend extra time on this before I get confirmation it's useful to people. Does that make sense? Would you have it from the start?

    1. 2

You should also advertise a free shipping threshold. It's an easy way to increase your average order value (AOV). Using you make it the price of two bags. People hate to pay shipping.

      1. 1

wow amazing tip thanks man i added that to my project management board.

      • Love that the first thing I see is a picture of three smiling people. I already feel connected to the brand. I can already see this product is not run by some faceless corporation... unless you're fooling me? ha ha
      • Love the images used throughout the page.
      • The map is fantastic. It's brilliant to show possible customers where the coffee comes from.
      • Perhaps you could extend on your brand with a blog! Behind the scenes, how the beans are grown, packaged. The team etc.

      #2

      • The tagline should be higher. Perhaps put a shadow between the bg image and the text so the text is easily legible.
      • I would make the logo and the menu bigger and bolder. It's a cool brand and you have a lot to be proud of.
      • The 'You're used to South American coffee beans...but you've never tried coffee beans like this before.' should be higher and more prominent. It sounds like your brands' secret sauce.
      • The 'Taste It' button is slightly on top of the 'Featured Products' heading.

      #1

      • I like that your logo is literally 'BuildFaster'!
      • The hover effect on the newsletter inputs is cool.
      • Great that you have links to blog posts in such a prominent position.

      #2

      • What's with all the Lorem ipsum? I don't really know what you do!
      • The animations are slick but they re-animate every time the particular element comes into view.
      1. 1

Yeah, I have to work on typing in REAL content. Not just Loren ipsum. Yes, sorry about the re animating stuff for the animate on scroll. I forgot to turn the “once” parameter to false.

        Thanks so much!

  20. 1

If you don’t get swamped, take a look at https://podboxer.com

Would love some feedback! Thanks 😊

    1. 2

      #1

      • The demo image is good.
      • The tagline is clear.
      • I love the discover podcasts search box at the very top of the page. I would sticky the top bar when you scroll down to make it really easy for users to search.
      • The 'Want to know what type of podcasts I share?' is exactly what I was looking for. Spot on. You somehow knew what I wanted!

      #2

      • Not sure about the "Let's Do This..." button. Feels unpolished.
      • I think the cookie notice at the bottom could be a bit smaller.
      • The footer is a bit boring. It could be spiced up.
      1. 2

        That was quick! Thank you.

All good points, and some things to think about. Appreciate it.

  21. 1

Hey Joey! Mine is at dytto.co. You can go harsh on it. I'm open to all constructive criticism.

Also, checked DarwinMail an hour ago. It looks promising, gave you and the product a follow, and I would've definitely give it a try if I had a busy mailbox. One thing though. The images load as I scroll the page, which is cool from an efficiency view point. But the page gets scroll jumps a lot, especially if I scroll relatively quick and my internet connection can't keep up. I think setting a predefined width and height on those images would solve the issue.

https://www.namescore.io - Find out with one click whether your business name idea is suitable for professional use. Simply enter your desired business or brand name. NameScore checks it for quality, suitability and usability.

    1. 2

      #1

      • The logo looks great
      • The how it works section (‘Pick a winning name’) is really well placed. You’re explaining how the product works. It’s clear and appealing. I would make ‘The advantages of using NameScore’ bigger and bolder though
      • The footer is well designed and the company (payment) icons look official and instills a sense of trust
      • The NameReport example section is exactly what users want to see :) (the text is a bit small though)

      #2

      • The example and log in menu items could do with more weight
      • Not sure what the difference is between checking a business and a brand name in the tagline. I mean, there is a difference, but does it matter to the user? Is there a common way we can describe both business and brand names in one go?
      • Hero image on the right is quite small
      • Could place hero input and CTA on one line and cut their width down
      • Why is there a more projects section in the footer? They look like completely separate projects.
      • The ‘* Offer for commercial purposes only..’ bar in the bottom left is quite confusing!
      1. 2

@joeytawadrous thank you 🙏 I'll see what I can improve.

The ‘* Offer for commercial purposes only..’ bar in the bottom left is quite confusing!

that's the thing about german law. but I think I'll just put this in the footer and done

    1. 1

      #1

      • Gorgeously simple LP
      • Within 2 seconds I’m already inspired to write something
      • The tagline presents a clear question that makes me think
      • You explain the product well in a simple kind of form

      #2

      • What does the #targetaudience.app mean? Why is there a hashtag?
      • Is there any demo?
      • Pricing table?
      • Do you have a specific target audience?
      1. 2

Thank you for your feedback! The hashtag is well noticed from you. At first, I aimed my product for Instagram branding but I moved away from it. I'm gonna remove it.

I have been thinking about building a simple demo as well but want to take time for customer conversation as well. I don't have a price in my head yet.

I have indie hackers as target market but thank you for that question apparently it's not clear enough yet!

      Neat & clean design 👍
I would have added a product image or video (if available) instead of illustration.

    1. 2

      #1

      • ‘Join the Collective’ CTA is quite enticing
      • Clean design (there is not much to analyse and that makes it easy to process)

      #2

      • Tagline is non very descriptive (it looks like the name of the website)
      • Sign up form could be spruced up (it’s very long and plain)
      • Demo image does not really explain what the product does (you could add some text boxes/arrows with explanations)
      • Could add more to the menu as it seems bare
      • The logo is very plain
      1. 2

Brilliant - thank you for the feedback! I will take every point into consideration.

  26. 1

https://logology.co - Get meaningful logos in minutes

I'm eager to know what you think about it!

    1. 2

      #1

      • The menu animation is cool and so is the overall design. It’s funky :)
      • The images used are beautiful. You definitely inspire confidence and have gained credibility here
      • The floating artsy circles are very cool
      • Overall I feel like you are the real deal!

      #2

      • Oh my God, the homepage is a bit of a gamble. You definitely stand out. You’re a lot different than typical landing pages. I like that and I believe so will other visitors. It does however, look a small bit messy. The logo looks like it has a top align of 0. It’s stuck right under my bookmarks bar and that looks off.
      • You ask if I have got 15 minutes in your tagline.. I would try to reduce that to 5 minutes.
      • Small thing I would say however in the menu I cannot tell the difference between ‘get logo proposals’ and ‘sign in’. Could I do one without the other and why?
      1. 2

        Thanks for the feedback!
Get logo proposals is the CTA, it leads to signup. Is it confusing?

  27. 1

    Hello Joey.

I'm working on landing page right now, polishing it, optimizing speed and doing mobile version, so not everything might work perfectly.

Also, do not take into account prices, since they're dummy, I haven't yet decided.

And I'll replace notification pictures with real ones which are pretty similar to those on landing.

      • Excellent tagline. I know exactly what you do within 2 seconds and I already understand how valuable that is
      • Try for free (no credit card required) is quite appealing for the value you are offering
      • Demo image looks great
      • ‘Get notifications in a way you like’ is exactly what I wanted to see. Somehow you knew exactly how to sell to me

      #2

      • Could you add a features link in the menu?
      • The ‘Less words. Try it right now!’ section is way too tall
      • I would move the ‘Who was it made for?’ section to the top below the hero text and demo image
      • The footer is kind of boring!
      1. 2

Thanks for such a valuable feedback!
I'm collecting feedback from many persons and then going to polish everything.

Agreed with any of your point!

        1. 1

          That's great to hear, Akcium.

    2. 2

is good, just one suggestion from me if you don't mind ) - how about autofocus on the input field in the try section? you can do with some js and intersection observer

      1. 1

Oh, indeed. I did this when you try again new search. But for some reason I didn't realise I can do this first time too, when user's scrolling

        Thank you!

      • First sight: slick UI
      • Like the animation
      • I can clearly see that you integrate with Airtable, Google Sheets and MailChimp
      • Call to action is in a prominent position
      • The two parts, meet the particles, video demo (how it works) sections explain the tool very well

      #2

      • The top of the image that I first see when the page loads looks misaligned and out of place
      • The tagline font is a bit thin, could you add some more weight to the heading?
      • The footer is huge! I would give it a much smaller height

Does it really matter? For the stages that various indiehackers are in, isn't every piece of feedback useful? That's what I love about the community here. Trying to help each other.

By tailored feedback I think he meant he'll spend some quality time on every site to give his honest input.

Very true. But the way @joeytawadrous is saying this post is making me believe that he is decently experienced in web development.

I have over 10 years of experience in web & mobile development.

I make products/apps for 80+ hours per week. This involves reading, learning, designing, selling, coding, etc.

I run DarwinMail.app which I am constantly improving through my learnings.
