10 paid customers in 2 days with NoCodeAPI

Running a SAAS business is very hard and especially for makers.

Makers can build anything so quickly but when the point comes to sell the product then no idea how to do that.

I launch NoCodeAPI on 10 Jan 2020 with a confusing pricing model. Like 5 active applications, 10 active applications, 20 active applications.

I was not getting paid customers as I was expecting. From 10'Jan to 30'Apr I got 11 customers and most of them were yearly subscriptions.

I was getting signup and now NoCodeAPI has 1400+ registered users and 7-10% of users are actively using this tool.

I was talking with users(those were using this tool) via direct email.

Then I got emails that what if I want to use one application API then how many API requests quota we will get.

Then I decide to change the pricing plan according to the number of requests like 50k API requests and unlimited applications.

After 2 months I decide to do 2nd iteration.

This took me 1 month to make the second iteration from the landing page to the dashboard(added graph, logs, etc.)

I send an email about a new pricing model to all registered users on 1st May and in 2 days I got 10 yearly paid customers.

https://nocodeapi.com/pricing

FYI: currently there is an 80% discount on a yearly subscription.

Still, I'm experimenting according to user requirements and what they need.

Keep doing what needed.

Congrats Danish! The new pricing looks much cleaner and easier to understand!

looks great, you do have a typo on https://nocodeapi.com/pricing, "Just upgrade to higer"

Hey @mddanishyusuf, really impressed with your product. May I ask what is your stack for building the backend? NodeJS, MongoDB? Do you use serverless stack?

I'm really impressed with this. I would ditch the computer-generated voice on the video though. Maybe invest a bit in getting a voice actor to do it or record it yourself. It could just be a personal preference thing, but even if you are going to stick with the generated voice have someone go through and proof it for grammatical issues. For example, around 0:20 it says "and see how this tool work." That should be "and see how this tool works." I know that might seem pedantic, but stuff like that can really turn people off. Especially in a business setting where people need to get buy-in from other stakeholders to purchase these kinds of services.

    Woohoo!
    Congratulations! 🙌

Great job on playing with the pricing model.

Awesome solution, will give it a try.

But please get rid of this terrible voiceover in the demo video! Do it yourself or hire someone, but not this one!

Thanks. Yes, I'll make new video with my voice.

    This is good.

However, Im failing to see how it differentiates to Zapier ?

      1. 1

Thanks for the origin post but it didn't help answer the question.

I guess having a table on how it differs with leading player in this space helps (Zapier in this case).

        1. 1

Zapier is not even a comparable service, they have completely different use cases... NoCodeAPI takes the data from the services you connect and serves that data over a JSON API... Zapier creates a connection between services for automating tasks.

    Great learnings there.

    Hi @mddanishyusuf great work!!!
Just one question, will you have the Instagram, Facebook and other Social Media APIs accesses so I can get Insights information and other sorts of data?

    1. 1

Currently, Instagram - "Insights are not supported." and what kinda data you need from facebook. Let me know other applications. So, I'll love to add those.

      Thanks

      1. 1

But Instagram Insights is not supported because you didn't include yet or you'll never support it?

PS: I just bought your product, couldn't resist and totally believe it will offer great value for the money

        1. 1

This is because Instagram doesn't have those API endpoints.

          Thanks

Congratulations. Quick question for you -> How did you get distribution? Or did it people find that you exist?

    1. 1

I launch this to multiple platform and now getting traffic from google.

      1. 1

        That's awesome man.

Congrats! keep changing until you see stable result. Pricing makes more sense now.
